Vitamin D deficiency is known to be strongly associated with bone metabolic disease and rickets.
In recent years, there has been increasing evidence that vitamin D deficiency may also lead to an increased risk of cardiovascular disease. Clinical findings show that serum vitamin D concentration is significantly associated with a decreased risk of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular death.
Vitamin D deficiency is also linked to blood-sugar metabolism and can be as high as 60 to 90 percent in people with type 2 diabetes.
Studies have shown that vitamin D can promote the synthesis and secretion of insulin and improve insulin resistance.
Coincidentally, high HCY is also an important risk factor for the occurrence and development of various atherosclerosis, and recent studies have shown that high HCY also attacks pancreatic islet cells and is positively correlated with abnormal glucose metabolism.
The blood sugar problems caused by lack of VD and high HCY also damage our blood vessels.
In recent years, more and more attention has been paid to the combined detection of 25-OH-VD and HCY.
